Thanks to Policaptil Gel Retard®, Libramed acts at the intestinal level forming a highly viscous gel that favors the control of the postprandial glycemic peak, reducing the amount and speed of absorption of carbohydrates (retard effect). This also determines a reduction in the sensation of hunger and postprandial drowsiness. In addition, with the same mechanism, Policaptil Gel Retard® limits the absorption of fats, favors intestinal transit and regulates the consistency of faeces.
Thanks to its mechanism of action, Libramed, in combination with a balanced diet, adequate fluid intake and regular physical activity, is indicated for weight control in adults and children from 8 years of age.
Adults and young people over the age of 12 take 3 tablets before the two main meals. Children between 8 and 12 years of age take 2 tablets before the two main meals.
