Solgar Advanced 40+ Acidophilus is specially formulated for people over 40 years of age. It provides 1.5 billion microorganisms. Contains strains LA-5 and BB-12.
As we age we lose beneficial bacteria that inhabit the gastrointestinal tract. These bacteria are very sensitive to several factors, being affected by pollution, pesticides, processed foods, daily stress and taking antibiotics. All of this causes an imbalance and a decrease in our resistance to pathogenic microorganisms. L. acidophilus, L. bulgaricus and L. bifidum are bacteria normally present in the intestinal microflora.
The probiotic L. acidophilus is one of the most investigated. Each capsule contains millions of viable microorganisms. Microorganisms grew in a carbohydrate complex and are therefore free of dairy products.
